Sharron Parker and Meryll Russell, a mother/daughter team, are simply great to work with when buying a home. We first looked at homes with Sharron about 3 years ago when visiting our son in LA. We lived in New York and were just starting to think about moving to California. Sharron kept in touch with us over the next two years, during which time we finally decided it was time to make the cross-country move. When we returned to California, we met Meryll, who was nice enough to show us some homes again. Over the next few months, Meryll went out of her way to set up several virtual tours (one even while we were overseas) and at long last we found the right home. Four weeks later, we closed. It had been thirteen years since buying my last house, plus I had never delt with an HOA before, and was totally overwhelmed. I saw a sign on a house across the street from my rental, called Meryll Russell and we were off to the races. Meryll led me though every step, of course giving me choices, but following her lead was the right thing to do. We were dealing with a less-experienced agent, so she was guiding both sides of the deal with ease and knowledge.
The listing was “as is”, however it needed termite work, a new heating and air system (that was original), asbestos abatement and more. She negotiated the deal so we got all those items covered. With-in the first week, we wrote an offer, Meryll set up appointments for a home inspection, termite, and heating and air conditioning companies and more. She knew what we needed and made it happen. She was always steps ahead, her guidance and knowledge are amazing, anything that came up she took care of. I got a call from Meryll late one day, she said there was a problem with the insurance, but I didn’t want to let you know till we fixed it. (WOW!) There was also, oh you need an HOA permit for that or this, but I already got it (WOW again). There were so many things she took care of for me, even before I knew I need them. I could not be more appreciative and feel so lucky to have Meryll Russell and Sharron Parker as my agents. It’s amazing getting to work with wonderful people you like and can trust completely. They even knew people who could come pick up any furniture we didn’t want anymore, since so many donation places are not accepting large furniture these days. We got multiple offers the first weekend & escrow closed in less than a month. We can’t imagine selling a house without these experts on our side.
